First you will need to create a free account, then login from the Mac computer and click the Add Computer button to download the LogMeIn Installer. LogMeIn Free allows you to conveniently remotely control a Mac computer running OS X from Windows through its web interface or the Firefox plugin. You can change your password, configure the voice, microphone and phone conferencing, access control and etc. The TeamViewer Host options can be accessed by clicking on the TeamViewer icon at the menu bar and select Preferences. The ID will not change and always stay the same on the machine. Enter the ID followed by the password and you’re able to connect to the OS X machine. As for the Windows computer that will be controlling the Mac computer, simply download the TeamViewer full version, install and run it.

You will need to download and install the “HOST” version of TeamViewer on the Mac computer that you want to remotely control. Other than that, TeamViewer also works on multiple operating systems where it allows you to control a Mac OS X system from a Windows computer. If you see the New Workspace Available alert, click Download now to load all available workspaces.TeamViewer is one of the most popular remote access software that is commonly used to provide remote support because it is easy to use and comes with really powerful features such as file transfer, switch sides, conference call, VoIP, screen recording and etc.

The Microsoft Remote Desktop app will load workspaces available to you and notify you if there are new ones.

Wait for the connection to be made, then at Notification Center, select Allow Notifications (this is recommended).

Authenticate with Two-Step Login if requested.

In the Pick an account window, click the account for your Cornell NetID email address If you do not see your NetID address, click Use another account and type your Cornell email address Continue to sign in using your Cornell NetID email address and password, then click Sign in.

In the Add Workspace window, type into the first field, then click Add.

Click the Workspaces tab at the top of the app window.

Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop client app.

You can also launch Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Go menu and clicking Applications, then Microsoft Remote Desktop.

After the app installed, use Finder to launch Microsoft Remote Desktop.
